MCG operates exploration drill rigs as part of its Resources division and is looking to expand into drilling for other organizations. The first preliminary drilling for MCG Resources has been carried out in 2nd quarter 2009 with full scale drilling to commence February 2010 at four separate tenements. Although designed as predominately diamond rigs, they are fitted with a two speed head giving it excellent RC capabilities should we require a multi purpose machine. Mounted on an 8 wheel Hino truck the drills are fully mobile with over 1000 meters “HQ” depth capacity. The 7.4 metre deck comfortably accommodates a hydraulically driven Gardner Denver 8 x 5 ½ mud pump package. The Drills are also fitted with a KL rod arm to lower the risks involved with manual handling. The Choice of the Hydco 1000 was also due to its capacity to be able to perform 4C conventional drilling. 8 wheeler rod trucks will be paired with the rigs as support vehicle fitted with 4000 ltr water capacity and a 6 mtr rod sloop to eliminate working at heights.
