MCG has won the contract of the construction of ISAAC PLAINS DRAGLINE CROSSING & ERECTION PAD, RELEASE DAM 2.
The dragline crossing location was of significant cultural significance and required the presence of cultural monitors while topsoil stripping and clearing operations were carried out. The nature of some of the finds meant that alterations were made to the design of some dump areas with MCG adjusting its operations to suit these changes. The crossing required installation of a 3 barrel CSP crossing with concrete and rock protection works for scour protection. The contract also included construction of the dragline erection pad and release dam with both being completed within the required design parameters and timeframe required.
