Middlemount Mine is located 6 kilometres south-west of the township of Middlemount in central Queensland.
MCG had won two separate contracts to carry out all civil and concrete works for Middlemount mine including CHPP detailed earthworks and concrete works, tailings dam construction, raw water dam, sediment dams, concrete culverts and pipe drainage, haul roads and access roads.
Mining operations at Middlemount for production at 1.8Mtpa ROM will commence in the 2010 calendar year.
